Amy Avis has worked in property management since 2006 and is Lockhart Management & Consulting’s Director of Accounting. In that capacity, she manages the accounting for conventional and affordable multi-family housing portfolios.
Avis is responsible for the monthly financial reporting to clients, as well as monitoring and forecasting their cash flow needs. She manages all accounts receivable and payable activity for Lockhart Management & Consulting and is responsible for reconciling the payroll activity for the entire management portfolio.
Avis earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in accountancy from Western Michigan University and has more than 25 years of experience in accounting for manufacturing, payroll, tax preparation and small business.
Previously, she served in the role of controller and accounting director for manufacturing and technology firms based in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
